Hi All,

I have a summary field in my cross tab called "effort" which i listed as a "Max" as the summary.

Now in the Row wise total, it shows the max value, But I want to display to the total of all values in that row

For example

I have this

Project Total Jan Feb Mar

1 40(MaxS) 20(MaxS) 30(MaxS) 40MaxS)

But I want to show total as 90.

My crystal report version is 11.0.0

Row Field is ClearQuest.name

Column fied is ClearQuest.Monthly Effort

Summary field is Max of @effort (it is a formula field)

Please help me out.

Thanks

You should be able to add a second field to your crosstab.

If that does not work, you could do a subreport where you suppress detail lines and just show group totals. A lot more control, especially if you use Running Totals. (The use of Crystal's automated totals is outlined at FAQ767-6524.)

I'm assuming the main report is used for something else and you're using the Crosstab for totalling at the end.

By adding a second field to the cross i am not able to the total of the max summary field.

I have only the cross tab on my report.

I have to show the max of the summary field and also in the total , i should show the total of all the max summary field.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

As I said, if crosstab won't do it, use a subreport in the main-report header or footer.

Please don't start multiple mosts on the same topic. You could insert a second crosstab that creates the total by omitting the column field. You could even make this your first crosstab on the left and then add the second crosstab with the months and overlay it over the first and suppress the row labels and related grid.

thanks to both of you..

I added another summary field as sum and suppressed the other info.

It is working fine now.

Thanks again
