I have a report that has details and group totals on it. We would like a summary showing the group totals at the end of the report also i.e.,
1 Detail
1 Detail
Group1 total
2 Detail
2 Detail
Group2 total
'
'
Group1 total - These I can't get
Group2 total "
'
'
Grand total

Is there an easy way to do this ?

Thanks

albertross,

There are a couple of ways you can do this:

1. IME, the best way to do this is to calculate the group totals before running the report, stores these in a separate table, and then design the report to put the separate group totals in the group footers.

2. Alternatively, design two reports designed to be run in sequence. The first is the one you have now, sans the current grand total and the second is a copy of the first, only with the stuff removed from the detail band. The second report essentially becomes your current summary page.

Hope this helps...
