Summarise a group total in report footer

I am trying to summarise a series of group totals in a report footer, but coming up against Crystal's limitations.

The problem starts with the data. It is a series of individual records, grouped on 'ORD_NO', but with the field I want to summarise being one that is the same for each item on the same order number, but which needs to be shown once.

i.e.

Order No. Item Value Order Balance
12345 1 150.00 450.00
12345 2 100.00 450.00
12345 3 200.00 450.00

Order Group Total: 450.00

Then:

Report Total (sum of group total) 450.00


I need to summarise this repeating value at order level, then at the next group level and finally in the report footer.

Can anyone advise a workaround?

Based on your example, you could just insert a sum on {table.value} at the order level and at the report level, instead of trying to summarize the balance field.
