Sum of Distinct Count

I have a report grouped by day, and by thirty minute segments of that day. The report returns a distinct count of the number of associates available to work each half-hour period. The issue I have is that I cannot figure a way to total (or average) the number of associates available the entire day. I know I have to write a formula, but cannot figure out the correct combination. Any suggestions?

Create a Manual Running Total which sums the counts for each segment.
