i have a report that in the detail section shows diferent articles, and the quantity of articles. the name of the textbox that has the quantity is txtquantity, and the information comes from a query. in the page footer i want to show the total quantity and i have the following code
=sum([txtquantity]) , but instead of making the sum, it prints the following "#error". did anyone knows what the problem might be ?

i have MS Access 2002 running on windows xp professional

You can't do the calculations in the Page Footer. It has to be done in the Report Footer or in a Group Footer. In your case, it makes sense to just move your textbox to the Report Footer and that should do it.

i put a label in the report footer "Total", but when i export the report to excel, the label is not showing up. how can that be fix ?

Try using a textbox and put the word
="Total"
in the Control Source line. It may help, it may not.
