Looking for a robust handheld device that can connect via radio or cellular network to host. The products being delivered are in the category of perishable food products to customers that range from the corner store to large institutions. Location is British Columbia, Canada both on Vancouver Island and the mainland.

The Nokia Card Phone would do well for PCMCIA devices. Availability varies, but it makes for a good all in one solution. It is excellent for ASCI text or other low bandwidth transmission.<br>

&quot;Robust&quot; is the key word. The hand held products designed for consumers tend to lack structural integrity. Industrial devices can be had with some research. Pen Computing is a good resource
