Hi,
I'm looking for suggestions for hardware to let me completely segregate a section of the network. So to have two physically and logically seperated networks, one is the business side, and one is the secure side. The secure side does not need any access to the outside world. I would like to just have static access control lists, with the possibility of an extra authentication, (named/password ect). I'm not too sure what a pix system would get me over some router with 2 ethernet ports, I don't really know too much about firewalls. Its just hard to wade my way through the cisco site and the product advisor that seems to go overkill a lot. I'm most familar with cisco ios, which is why I'm posting in here. Thanks for your help.
