iSCSI seems it needs another NW server or a SNAP.
USB and FireWire are not even supported.
Seems like nasty expensive tape is still an option.
Backup Exec Win 10d disk to disk has no direct equiv on Netware.
Replication too hard to manage.
Clustering is too expensive.

Just add more internal drives/volumes and cron jobs
to back them up is what im doing now.
But its not removable.

cutting 9GB DVD are too small.....

BE 9.1 for Netware will do Backup to Disk (they refer to it as backup to folder).

NetWare 6.5 Does in fact support USB hard drives. NetWare 6.0 did not, maybe that's where you're confused. It doesn't support other USB stuff, just storage.

So you can take Lawnboys advice, backup to disk.. setup your backup to disk folder on your USB device.

No way!
im going to take my USB 2.0 external 250GB down there and try it.
is it hot swap? pnp?
does NSS automatically detect it?

ill check the docs

Let me second that. I'd give my eye teeth for some CD or DVD burner software that'd run on NW6.5.

Second whack at USB drives.
PCI USB 2.0 card helps alot since Dell still puts only
USB 1.1 in their PowerEdge servers, WTF?

You must partition and format the USB as an NSS filesystem
via nsssmu, but it works.

Then, Backup Exec can see it and backup to disk.
Coolness.

Removable SYS volumes for Disaster Recovery.
Im loving it...
