HI,
i require a suggestion on the following implementation
1) main site with 300 users having server edition
2) other branches -- 4 sites --- having 250 ,150,50 ,80 users per site.

Question -- is it advisable to go in for server edition with centralised licensing OR is it advisable to for SCN?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.

But wouldn't it be a single point of failure?? if I loose internet at one location (main office) then is it a way my users can register to their local expansion systems??

Since you probably already going to add all the branches as expasions I would go with centralized licensing.
Users can fallback to their branch if they loose connection with the main system.

But if the systems all use their own trunks, don't share applications and you just wanna have internal calling over SCN it might be better to keep em seperate.

Hi,
Yes, at present I have all systems running and using their own lines to dial outside.
At their HO they are increasing the count of users, so we have already suggested them Server edition at the main office..
but the distributor is suggesting to go in for server edition extra license and have everything centralized.. they don't share any application. but they do require redundancy, but I feel if I keep secondary server at other location we can be safe at some point.
but the main issue is which is better centralized licensing or SCN.
as it is I need to change all diallin plan.
