Another newbie question. I have my first IP Office, VMPro and OneX Server (UCM) in production.
What (and how) would you guys recommend I do for full off-site system backups?

VMPro can do (s)ftp backups so that should be a remote ftp server.
1XP can do FTP backup as wekk but needs to be done manually.
But When it is setup there is not much that change so then you have it too.
The ipo is a different story, you should keep a recent config on a server too.

Just use a cloud service that will backup the whole server ! :)

We are currently running the IP Office Manager, VMPro Client, 1xp, and XIMA off a virtual server. So, that has inheirent backup through the VMware. I can setup an FTP service to copy the entire tree off the UCM as well.

But is that enough to cover anything I might need?

The VMPro seems like we can just FTP off the 'housekeeping' backups. Will that be all that is necessary for a full restore from a default or empty installation?
For the IPO, I've been told all I need is the .CFG files. Will that be enough to restore from a defaulted IPO.

And finally, is the '/opt/Avaya/oneXportal' everything that needs to be backed up? Or is there a database or more somewhere else.

FTP can be used to restore for a Windows version.
The Linux version can not do that and you need to put the backup in the right folder yourself.
1XP has a backup option build in (read the manual) and is more then just coping the folder.
