We encountered a problem this morning whereby all my users who print to Xerox 545 printers couldn't print, the jobs were queuing on the W2k server but didn't seem to be released by the print server or spooler.
Strangely, users who were printing to other printers (HP, Sharp) had no problems and continued to print normally.
Looking at the event logs there were several error messages relating to a 119 error and other errors relating to GDI errors. A review of the services list indicated that the print spooler and tcp/ip print services were running and appeared to be OK. In the end I had to restart these services though to get around the problem, obviously with disruption to the other users who were working fine. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may have been?
