This is probably a silly question, and probably will be a simple fix, but here is my dilemma:

I am running IE 6.0 with SP2 on Windows XP. All of a sudden today, in the middle of doing some work on our *company* site, all my fonts got huge ... and the fonts for msn.com (my standard home page) have enlarged too.

However, it hasn't seemed to affect all my web pages (tek-tips seems to still be okay.)

What is going on? What do I need to do to fix this?

In IE, go to View->Text Size and you can adjust the size of the text.

Thanks! I can change the size of the text, but it seems to affect all my web pages, and they weren't all having difficulty - just microsoft-based pages (msn included) and our company pages.

Any idea why this happened? Malware, a bug, some sort of hacker (or prankster within our walls?)

That is because the text size setting is not page or site dependant. It is a browser setting, and thus will affect all sites and pages visited with that browser.

I had the same.
First set your View>Text Size to Medium.

Then

Tools>Internet Options>General>Fonts. Try setting to a different font. If this works, reboot and try setting it back.
This controls the font used for pages that don't specify a font layout.

Worked for me when I had many of many go TU.

I think it actually may be a odd key shortcut as I has the same, typing away and suddenly went all screwy.

Only the truly stupid believe they know everything.

Holding down CTL+ scrolling your mouse will change the font size as well.

This may actually have been the problem - I tend to scroll a lot, and if I accidentally set something on my keyboard ... thanks - I'll know how to fix it in the future!

Tools > Internet Options > General Tab > Accessibility > "Format Documents Using My Stylesheet"

See if this checkbox is clicked. It's possible some prankster could have set a css file to apply to all pages you're on, which could easily increase the font size of everything on the page. If someone has done this be thankful that all they did was increase your font size. With CSS filters in IE they can make your page do all kinds of funky stuff.
