I've got a site that is suddenly announcing in French Canadian. It's not in Canada. English (US) doesn't appear to be an option anymore in Call Pilot. Anyone know how to get a language back? They're getting Australian English now.
*501 Primary Language - English Allows users to set the language of the display to English
*502 Alternate Language - French Allows users to set the language of the display to French
*502 Alternate Language - Spanish Allows users to set the language of the display to Spanish
*503 Check language Lets user check the language invoked
Having read your question, it must be a setting in Call Pilot if all the users are having the same problem?.

It is in Call Pilot where I'm finding the problem. In Call Pilot under Configuration and System Properties there is no option to select English (US) for Primary Language or Alternate Language. As a result all the park and page announcements are in French. "There is a call holding for xxx on <numbers read in French>".
This is confusing:

I changed it to Australian English because that's as close as I could get to US English. Closer than French anyway. I did restore the system from a back up image and the problem remains.
Yellow on White, I am not too bright....no pun intended.
Seems the BCM region controls the CP language.
Try SYSTEM/IDENTIFICATION
Both 1000 and BCM50R2 guides state:
CallPilot regions
The CallPilot portion of the BCM50 application also has a region setting that defines some
call-management-related system defaults.
The CallPilot region is specified at system initialization and start up when you run the Quick Start
Wizard. You can also change this setting under System, Identification.
"You can also change this setting under System, Identification."
Wont let me on a 50 rls 2 dialed in remotely.
SU32. Yes I know it has issues but they don't use any of the software negatively affected by the patch. I had a conversation with an Avaya engineer who assures me SU32 shouldn't have any negative impact. Shouldn't.
Doesn't look like they've update the Desktop in over a year.
I did, it's set to North America. I didn't see any option to change it either.
The more I look at the system the more odd behavior I find. I think the drive is failing. I have set up a time I can take the system down and get a new drive in there.
Hi marice! I think hard drive read errors are the most likely cause. The CallPilot software probably didn't find some US English files (read failure?) and thus excluded the US English from the list of available languages. Make sure you have a sane backup and then try to replace the hard drive.
