I am a new Crystal reports user. I am using version 9 and an accessing a sql DB via ODBC (not sure if this is useful info or not).

I am trying to subtract two times and have the result returned in a time format. My two fields are both formatted as HH:MM:SS, but when I subtract one time from the other it is returned formatted.

Do I need to create a formula to change it to a time format? If so, how would I write the formula?

In my example i am looking at a time that service was requested and the time that service arrived on the scene. The formual should return somcething like :07 for a seven minute response time.

You are probably getting a value in Seconds.
You can convert this to a formatted string using formula #9 in faq149-243. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
