Subtotals in Flexgrid

I was wondering if there is a way to run subtotals in vba on a flexgrid. I have a flexgrid which is populated with inventory issues by department. I am trying to get subtotals per department. I was looking up with rollup in SQL but i am getting too many nulls in the flexgrid together with rubish data.
Could anyone assist. Thank you!

I assume that you are in Excel and not MS Access; otherwise you would be posting in forum705.

Can you explain why you are using a FlexGrid, when you have at your bec and call, a WorkSheet that has many more features that enable this kind of analysis and display?
