Is there any way to have sub totals appear in the group heading rather that the group footers? e.g.:

I've got values
1.0
1.0
2.0

and I want displayed:
Total for group G: 4.0
1.0
1.0
2.0

rather than the total being displayed as 1.0 (which is the sum upto the first record which is the group header).

Note that I am unable to use subreports for this functionality.

Regards,

Paul

Hi there,

Unless you've neglected telling us something, if you have added the "sum" summary field you should be able to drag it to your group header and it will display correctly.

Ie. right click on field in details and insert summary - select sum from drop down list and make sure it's at group level. Then move it from the group footer to the corresponding group header.

(Make sure you are not using running totals)

cheers...J
