Is there a SUBSTR function in Access 97?
I have to transform PID row od data to PID2
EX. PID PID2
0230000029 023-00-00-029-
Please Help
Also is there a book or good resource for SQL in Access 97?

Try the Mid() function.
Mid(string, start[, length])
