'subservient chicken' clip latency problem

Hi!
I'm making a subservient-chicken-like (

app... having trouble with delay between the clips.

When a new keyword is typed there is a roughly 1 second delay before the new clips begins playing. The delay remains if the keyword's clip has already been played (and is presumably buffered).

Here's my test site if you'd be good enough to check it out! Just remove all dashes in the URL:
