Hi. I have my main table which is comprised of scenes. An intermediary table which contains characters and then the third table which has the notes for each character. I would like to create a portal in the Scene Form that shows the character's notes side by side instead of in rows, so the portal table would look like this:

Character1 Character2 Character3
Notes Notes Notes

This layout is important because the length of the notes varies and is often several lines long and I would like to be able to see the different characters in the scene on the screen at the same time.

Thank you for your help!

Hi Kristina,

I assume you are on version 7. If not this suggestion won't work.

Perhaps you could create 3 portals on your layout. Each one would be identical to the other two except that the first portal would start showing records at row 1, the second portal at row 2, and the third portal at row three. Each portal should also be set to show only one row. So this ends up being 3 separate portals each showing only 1 row.

I'm sorry I can't give more specifics because I'm not on a box with FileMaker right now so I can't try this.
