Hiya,

i'm writing a GUI for a scientific app, and displaying a JOptionPane. The String for the message needs to contain some scientific symbols which i can do using the correct unicode character, but how can i make some of the text in the String be displayed as subscript ?

Thanks Alistair [monkey]

Is it possible to display text as subscript using html commands? (I don't know, Im not a web designer) If it is then you can use that to do what you are after.

for example a line of text such as &quot;testingtestingtesting&quot; when added as a label to a button will appear just as it is written, however the text &quot;<html>testing<p>testing<p>testing</html>&quot; will appear as

testing
testing
testing

on the button.

Perhaps a similar thing can achieve the subscript you are after, if html as a subscript type tag.
