Subscriber Leaves Company - Must Keep MM Box in Place

If a subscriber leaves the company, but the MM box (5.2) needs to stay in place w/a greeting of where they went but no messages can be left, can this be done? We use Exchange...Active Directory...and the AD accounts are removed when someone leaves which means MM will be gone - he do we keep this in play? We have this happen quite often so we need a clean method.

you can use a caller app and have them record an announcement of where they are now.

Or set the greeting to extended absent greeting and tell it no to leave messages i think that will work with exch back-end

We are going to use the extended abs. greeting like you are stating. Someday I hope to have time to play w/Caller Apps. Thanks for the input.
