Hi,

how can you use the subs command in windows xp to set the sharedata folder for accpac?

is it in environment?

it variables and system variable, which one to use and how you set up there?

thank you

I assume you're talking about the SUBST command, there is no SUBS command. You put it in a batch file, for example:

SUBST F: C:\Mydata
F:
CD\Runtime
start Accpac

What are you trying to achieve?
Do you want to share Accpac in a peer-to-peer environment?

You do not need to use SUBST in such a case, just use a UNC path for the SharedData setting and for the data path in database setup.

thank you

how do you use use UNC?

like is in auotexec.bat?

can you give me the steps please, i would appreciate it.

i installed the system manager and is asking me to register it
never asked me before, i think i am not pinted to the folder having the licence files.

thank you

You should stop right now, and find someone with some basic computer skills to do this for you.
