I have added a subreport into the main report to get information onto the report from another query. When I run the report, it prompts me for the parameter 4 times before the report displays with the information. Both queries use the same parameter value. This only happened after I added the subreport. Does anyone know why it would be doing this and how to fix it? My knowledge of Access reports is very limited.

Also, is it possible to add a value from the main report and a value from the subreport and display the total on the report?

Thanks.

"It prompts you for the parameter" - does that mean you've entered a prompt in the criteria section? e.g., [Enter start date:]
If so, I've found that if the text of the prompt isn't exactly duplicated among the different queries, it will show you each individual prompt. So I always cut and paste the prompt from one query to another and when they match, it will only ask you once.
(this is true for the text in the criteria and if you defined the prompt in PARAMETERS also - i.e., they all have to match exactly.)

as for the subrpt and rpt total:
add a field to the main report with the control source = the subreports control name.
and then total the two fields on the main report. (if you need more detail, let me know.)
