Subreports, link or insert (embed). What's best? 1

I have a dashboard report (fill as much information as possible on one page). The report has up to 8 different subreports. Is it best to create the subreports under separate names and link to them from the main report or just insert them into the main report?

It depends on how you want to use the report.

a) insert them directly in the main
This is helpful when printing the report, because all subreports will be printed (of course)

b) link them to main report
This is helpfull when printing to screen, when printed to screen the subreports can appear as a hyperlink. e.q. when you click on the name of the subreport the information will then be gathered and not directly like option a.

For performance option b) is most likely the option you use best, for results on 'paper' option a) is most likely the option you want to use.
