Subreports in Older version of Crystal reports???????urgent!!!!!

I have the new version of Crystal reports in my machine.I am connecting to Oracle database.I am not able to open the report.If I run it from VB,it gives "Server has not yet been opened" error.So, I switched to the older version of Crystal reports which is 4.6.But here,there is no option for subreports.Can anyone help me out on both issues?

Subreports were not introduced until V5. You can't use subreports in V4.x

That error usually means that you have to log into the server in the code before launching the report. The syntax varies based on your integration method. Ken Hamady
