Hi All,

In crystal report designer my main and 3 sub reports works fine. After these reports published into Enterprise, first of all, it prompted me to enter parms for all 1+3 reports and it didnt show data for subreports.

In design mode when I run the report, it prompts for parameters only once and it passes to subreports, this is the way it should be, I dont know what I am doing wrong, when the report published into Enterprise, soome how the parms are not passed to sub-reports.

We are using Business Objects XI version. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Yeah - Go through the CMC to the report - click on the parameter section - and UNTICK - Prompt the user for new value(s) when viewing.

You will no longer be prompted for the subreport parameters - also check that the subreports have the same data source - otherwise you will need to add the username password for each different data source.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
Paul

Yes, I have UNTICK the "Prompt the user for new value(s) when viewing", still the same problem.

Thanks,

Typically I do not create parameters in subreports, rather join the main report parameters to the fields within the subreports, this avoids the multiple prompting issue, although I'm surprised that Paul's solution didn't work for XI.

It may also have something to do with the record selection formula for the subreports, or that the subreports have some connectivity/permissioning concern.

And there are other reasons that this might occur.
