Subreports - Database userid and Password

Hi all
I have a problem with a Subreport on a web CR.I pass the Userid and the password to the Main Report(view based)from a web page.While this report is getting loaded, it prompts for the Database userid and Password for the subreport(a different view).Once it is supplied the report gets loaded.I have linked the Subreport to the main report on a single field.A stand alone report for which the database login id and password is passed runs without any prompts.
I have run out of ideas as to how to pass the database userid and password to the subreport.I request help at the earliest.
