I have a question.

Let's say I have ReportA.rpt and ReportB.rpt. If I insert ReportB.rpt as a subreport to ReportA.rpt, is a copy of ReportB placed in ReportA or is it referenced?

Can I delete ReportB without impacting the subreportB in ReportA?

You can delete ReportB without affecting ReportA.... To ever use ReportB again as a stand-alone, you would have to right click on it in ReportA, do a Save Subreport As... and then provide some ~very~ minor edits to ReportB (killing the Page Header and Page Footer sections if you weren't using them, because they magically grow when saved).

Once a subreport is "added" to a Main report it effectively becomes a part of the Main report. Any changes made to the subreport from within the main report will NOT be reflected in the saved version of the subreport.

Thanks. Now I clean up all of these copies of subreports used in my "Suppressing a Subreport" question back on 4/18/2003.
