I would like my subreport and main report to show up together, instead of the subreport at the end of the main report. I set all parameter in each.
I dragged my subreport into my report but it is repeating itself over and over again. LOST.
To get it to print beside the main report, you can try putting it in the report header and then setting the RH to underlay. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting

Hi again,
I would like this report to interact with my main report, if possible. What do u mean setup parameters in the main report? Do I setup the same parameters in the main report as I do in the sub?
Really out in left field on this one. Had it working, then not. YIKES.
This is basically an orders report with company name, product, territory, etc. fields like that. Been having problems with this report for a while. I did try putting the subreport in all areas of the main report but I keep on getting duplicater data and also 2 pages of zero's.
Make any sense of this?
Specifically what do you mean by "interact"? Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

Interact meaning show up with my main report. I know this is possible but can you seperate information in the subreport by let's say Customer name. Meaning I would like all the information (in the main and subreport) to show up under each company name, not side by side.
Thanks. Sorry to be a pain.
I guess the first problem is linking my data, having a problem with that.
You can print a new subreport for each Customer, once per group in the main report. This would be a linked subreport.
However, you can't mingle the records from the subreport with the records of the main report. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

Thank you. So I definitely cannot "mingle" my data from my main and subreport. Someone told me I probably could that is why I am confused. Thanks for clearing that up.
Still having trouble with my criteria. I want just 3 things:
1) When a user views these reports, I would like them to be able to see all the data for their territory, from the main and subreport.
2) data from a certain product.
3) and company.
Make sense, boy I am a pain or what.
Why would I drag my subreport in my main report if the data would not mingle?
Thank you.
Chris
P.S. I'll stop harassing you after this. Thanks again.
pretent Table A is charges and Table B is payments.
I could print Charges and Payments for the same customer on the same page, using a subreport. Two separate sections per customer.
I could not sort the charges and payments for that customer into one set of records. They have to remain separate, but they can be printed on the same piece of page for each customer. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
