Subreport

I am using Crystal Reports 11 Release 2

I am creating a report that will invole about 3 subreports. There will be a main report, call that 1 then a subreport that goes into that called report 2 and then I want a subreport within subreport 2 called report 3. I have that all set up but report 3 shows up in subreport 2 but when subreport 2 is placed into report 1 subreport 3 is not displayed. The reports are all linked the same way. How should I fix this problem?

Subreports cannot be nested within subreports, so add the third report as a second subreport within the main report.

Actually is their anyway to link the second subreport and the third subreport to each other within the main report..or is that still nesting? Because I have these accounts and they have "parnets" then those parnets are apart of a larger group and so forth and I want to see the layout of that. So I was linking the subreport 2 to the main report as if the parnet category on the main report was the category of the account on the second report and then that would give me the parnet of that. Then I was inserting the same the next subreport (report 3) in subreport 2 linking it the exact same way. so I can see thenext parnet up. If you know an easier way to do this I would appreciate the help

No, you can't link subs to each other. I can't follow exactly what you are trying to do, but if you want the second sub to have narrower results, link the second sub to the main report on the same fields as you did for the first sub and then add another link that narrows it further. The second sub could be placed in a lower order group (linking field).
