SubReport won't stop reading data?

I have a report that I've cloned to be a subreport. When I insert the report as a subreport in the master page, it continues to read the report pages over and over (thousands of times) -- rather than stopping after reading the data once!

When I open the subreport as a stand alone report I only see the data once, which is correct behavior. What is happening to cause it to just read the data continuously once the report is added to the master report?

These are unlinked reports using the same data tables.

What are your links to the subreport and what section did you place the subreport?

If the subreport is in the detail section of the main report then the subreport will execute with every detail record found in the main report
