subreport values blank , need values still report vlaues

New User (pup). I have searched for a way to insert text either where it should have been generated in a subreport or at the end of multiple page report. I was thinking of insering another detail section, typing in the information needed and then try to find a way to get it to show only once at the end of report.

subreport link to main report is by col3 "contents".
col4 consists of tests that are unique to all except a few cases and are blank.

either way I do not want a blank section under detail main report or subreport.

Not sure I've grasped the full impact of your problem here, but is it not possible for you to create an additional report footer in the subreport, conditionally suppressed on col3, 4, and 5 being either IsNull or "", with your freehand text inserted in this section?

Thus resulting in:

        89987    soda C    contents   test    weight
        65432    soda D    *** freehand blurb ***
