Subreport Totals on the main Report

I have a subreport that totals balances for the period prior to what is displaying on the main report.Such that if my main report displays data from 30/06/2006 to 31/12-2008 the subreport will show data upto 29/06/2008 so that the closing figure in the subreport automatically shows as the opening balance in the main report.

I have linked the two reports using the bank code which is the only common feature between the two.I only want to see the totals for the subreport on the main report.

Help will be so much appreciated.

Is there a group on bank in your main report or are you only running the report for one bank at a time? Where is the subreport located?

There's a group on bank on my sub report.The sub report is located in the same folder as the main report

I am asking in what main report section the subreport is located.

Also, I need to know how your main report is grouped--if it is--or whether you are running the report only for one bank at a time.
