I have created a report using Crystal Report 6. the detail section is calling from a subreport. the subreport is always printed out on the next page and leave the prior page with only group headers and blank page. how can i avoid this? I already checked the subreport option - keep object together.

Thanks for any help.

Turn off the subreport option - keep object together, and right click the details and select format section and turn off the Keep together in there as well.

Not sure what "the detail section is calling from a subreport" means, whether you're displaying details in the subreport, or the details section is where you've placed the subreport.

What you want is that the data is not kept together in the related sections or the subreport.

Hi, thank you for your quick reply. and I apologize that I didn't write my issue clearly. the due date is very close, so very stressful.
anyway. in this report, i call the subreport from a group footer - project and show the details for that project. so when the subreport contains the data more than a page or half page it will be printed to the next page. is there anyway to avoid this?

Go to the section expert and uncheck "keep together" on the group footer in the main report. Then do as SV suggested: Select the subreport->format subreport->common tab->uncheck "Keep object together".

Yes. I turned of - keep together from subreport and also the group footer section from which I call the subreport. but i still receive the same result.

It still sounds like a Keep Together is active somewhere, if you right click the group and select change group there's a keep together in there as well.

Anyway, make sure that all sections in the subreport have it turned off as well.
