My subreport displays the data perfectly when testing it alone. When I run the primary report the subreport space is empty. I have checked the following:
1. Page headers on the subreport
2. Master and child links are right
3. Visible properties are right
4. I created the subreport several times from start to finish and the results are the same.

Any ideas or help will be appreciated.

Did you try putting the subform in another section? Page header for form info, detail for subform info. Sometimes I have had to split them up to make it work, I've also encountered problems with grouping when starting design with the wizard.
Probably not much help, but I looked at 5+ reports I have with subreports and thats all I could come with.

Thanks for the help, my daughter solved the problem for me in about 2 minutes. The field name in the Link property of the Master field was spelled wrong. I had picked it out of a list but somehow the first letter was dropped. She said she had had the problem before. It fixed it right up.

It is great having a daughter working with me who is brighter and better educated. She has a 4 year CIS degree and mine is a 3 year technical degree.

We work together, she from her home and I work from my home.

Sorry about the personal stuff, I'm just a proud Dad; so I'm going to leave it all.

Thanks again.

Sometimes access is like the old saturday night live skit with martin short - "I hate it when that happens" as he sticks a fork in his eye. I spent a full day a while back trying to get a calculation to work which had summed data from a subform-formdata=new. I had done this before, checked and rechecked, cussed, pulled out my hair etc. All this only to find out one of the fields was defined as text in the table!
