I have 2 subreports in a main report. All the data shows up fine. but the header labels don't show up in them main report?

Any ideas why?

They are in the page header of the subreport?

You need to create a group header & put them there.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I generally create a primary level sorting and grouping level in the subreports based on a constant expression like:
=1
Display the Group Header for this section. Set this section's Repeat Section property to Yes. Move your controls from the Page Header to the =1 Header.

Duane, can you explain your last comment more fully?

I still need to do this and it sounds good; but I can't seem to get it to work.

I'm not sure I can be more specific. My last comment was "Move your controls from the Page Header to the =1 Header."

I assume you know how to move controls by dragging them. The Page Header section is self-explanatory. The =1 Header is the group header created in the first part of my reply.

Thanks. I think I got it now. I had a date grouping set, so it was repeating the header every time the date changed. Now it is correct.

Thanks for the assist.

One more question. If the main report header shows up and there is nothing in the subreports, do you know why that is?

I'm not sure what you mean. If a subreport has nothing in it, this suggests there are no records to display and nothing from the subreport will display in the main report.

The cause for no records to display in a subreport can be traced back to the subreport's record source filtering or the filtering produced by the Link Master/Child properties.
