Hi,
I had created a report with few subreports linking them with parameter field_1.It worked fine. Now, I have to add one more parameter field_2. I linking my exisisting report with this parameter field_2 too. I thought it will work but it gives me multiple detail sections of each report.
WHY?

Where are you getting multiple detail sections? In the main report or the subreport?

I'm getting multiple Detail sections in main report.

Do you get the same detail lines without the subreport? Try using [Save As] to make a test version.

Subreports can be put in group footers or report footers, depending on what you are doing.

I have 3 subreports which r in Detail section as Da,Db,Dc.
I'm using
{Command_1.name} = {?My Parameter - name} and
{Command_2.Expr1003} = {?My Parameter 2}
Record Selection Formula for main report.

When I run
{Command_1.name} = {?My Parameter - name}
Formula with my subreports it was working fine.

But when I added other parameter
{Command_2.Expr1003} = {?My Parameter 2}
It gives me Da,db,dc then again Da,Db,Dc & so on.. 20 same detail sections in the main report. It os coz of my Record selection formula"AND"

But I tried to put all my subreports in the Report Footer ,
Its working..

Hi Madwac,
My report is working perfectly in Report Footer. So, Can I insert my subreports in Report Footer instead of Detail Sections.
Thanks

Subreports can be put in any section, I think, though I'm not sure what would happen if you used a page header or footer. If you use the report footer, the subreport gets run just once. In a detail section, it gets run once per detail line.
