Hello,

is it in any way possible to insert a subreport into a subreport (using CR 8.5).

Greetings, Jeroen.

You can sometimes get the same effect by having two or more subreports within a 'framework' report. Madawc Williams

What are you trying to do? That may help us suggest a way to do it without the impossible subreport-in-subreport

Chrishaw,

we use a Navision-database in combination with CR. The Navision-database doesn't allow outerjoining. So u can understand that I have to be very resourseful in trying to solve outerjoin-like-problems. The solution is many occasions is to use subreports. And in some subreports I would like to insert another subreport to create an outerjoin-like result.
U can inmagine that using subreports is a very bad clumsy solution, but at the moment we haven't got a better one.

Jeroen.

Jeroen,

Are you connecting natively to the database or are you using ODBC? I cannot imagine not being able to do an outer join in ODBC, but many times you are limited using a native connection. Software Sales, Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
