I read many previous questions re subreport header not repeating.
I did notice that headers must be in report header to show up in report, however I can't implement any other suggestions as I can't seem to find how to insert a group or where/how to create a formula such as "{table.ID}>0"

My subreport source is a query which is linked to JobNo in main report. The Access report Wizard set it up with no groupings.

Thanks for your help, great forum.

You create groups in the report's sorting and grouping dialog available in the design view.

You can use group headers with a level expression of:
=1
and then set the =1 Group Header section Repeat Section property to Yes.

I have no idea what you are referring to with "{table.ID}>0".

I finally got a group level created using your help. However, now the column headings repeat for each row of data. How do I set a level expression, also can't find any Repeat Section.
I am using Access 97.
The {table.ID}>0 was from the FAQs.
Thanks

Is your =1 group level the top one? It should be.

My subreport has a Report Header which shows up fine, a Page Header which doesn't display (as it is not supposed to) and a new group header named GroupHeader0 I don't know how to find the group level or set the =1 or an expresion?

If you have a GroupHeader 0 then you must have some expression(s) in the Sorting and Grouping dialog in the Field/Expression column. What values do you see in this column?

I finally found the sorting and grouping box. Under field/expression is the field empNum Ascending
Group On each value
Group Interval 1
Keep together No
I am getting headers for each line (ie each employee)

I tried changing Group On to Interval
but still get headers for each line?

Again, the expression that I suggested for a Grouping expression should be the first level of grouping.

Field/Expression is JBT_EmpNum
Sort order Ascending
What do I set to =1?
Thanks for your help

Add the =1 so that it replaces JBT_EmpNum and move JBT_EmpNum down to the second "level".

I now have under grouping/sorting the first line is
=1 ascending
Job_No ascending

How do I set the Group Header section to Repeat Section - Yes

the header now shows properly at the begining of the section but does not repeat on subsequent pages.
thanks

The "Repeat Section" is a property of the section of the report.
