I have a subreport to a main report. The subreport fills in information of additional comments to the main report. However, since the subreport is in the middle of the report, I want to restrict the subreport to only print out the first three records (Otherwise, the additional comments would type over the information in the main report when printing). Then, on the fourth line that would have been the fourth additional comment, I'd like to print out "See file folder for additional comments" in place of the additional comment.

Is there a way to do something like this? If so, How? Thanks

Create 2 detail secttions (A and B) and format A to be the one that prints info. Detail B will have a text object that says "See file folder .."

Now in the Section Expert (Format Section) you put in a suppress condition for each of these two lines. For A the condition formula is:
RecordNumber > 3

For B the condition formula is:
RecordNumber <> 4

Now A will only print on the first 3 records, while B will only print on the 4th record, and only if there is a 4th record). Ken Hamady
