Subqueries in mySQL

I need to do a query on a dataset produced using x-tab query in mysql. Any ideas ?

if by 'x-tab' you mean you want to perform a 'crosstab' query, as in *cough* MS Access *cough*, I'm afraid that it's non-standard SQL. There are workarounds, however - try

I create a x-Tab query using the method described in

but I also want to perform a subquery on the resultant x-tab dataset.

Try simply prefixing your final

SELECT

with

CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE foo

, then perform your secondary query on that.
