Hi Everyone,

My company is opening Two new offices (3 total) all running 2k3 server conneced with the 2 branch offices (20 users each) connected to the main office (30 users) via VPN. The setup is One domain with an AD site for each location.

My question is how do I set up my Network subnetting in the most efficient way possible?

I am a newbie where Subnetting is concerned so any help would be great.

Thanks
Big Ern

To be honest I wouldn't bother with the esoteric subnet mask of 255.255.255.192. I'd stick with the plain and simple 255.255.255.0. It's not as if you are stuck for addresses in the private address space.

Just stick the subnets 192.168.1.0/24, 192.168.2.0/24, etc etc into each office. Then you will know where each user is coming from. It wil also mean less headaches with regard to the various VPN's that you will be setting up.
