I have subnets in different locations within a mpls network topology. Within the local location, where the DC's are located, I can reach my local domain through terminal services by name resolution. However, from the other locations, I can't reach the terminal servers by using the names of the servers without using the static IP's. Do I need to have a DC in each of the locations or can I just create a PTR record for all of the subnets?

You need a DNS server in each location that is aware of the terminal servers IP address.
