I am connecting to a Unix system via a SLIP dial-up connection from a W2K machine. When connected I cannot see the machine (via ping, tracert, etc). It seems to boil down to the subnet mask it assigns me. If I type ipconfig I have a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255 which is effectively barring me from viewing the machine. The subnet mask cannot be changed on the W2K machine, apparently it is assigned by the RAS. Does anybody know how this is set, or assigned? I wish to set it to 255.255.255.0 so I can connect.

Thanks.
