Hi,

I currently have the following en0

IP 10.12.0.6
Sub mask 255.0.0.0
gateway 10.12.0.100

I want to change the subnet from 255.0.0.0 255.255.0.0 does the change require a reboot in order for the new subnet over.

regards

H

way1: re-run "smit mktcpip" and fill the correct values.

way2: command line
chdev -l en0 -a netmask="255.255.0.0"

then check routing table (netstat -rn) and correct it if needed.
You can flush the routing table (route -fn) then rebuild it using cfgmgr (after that check default route).

Both ways use local console or any other network interface for your tty, as the connection might hang.

No reboot will be needed in any ways.
