Hello (slobad23 once again!),

This HTML stuff all seems nice but you get to learn the basics then you want something a little more and i dont know how to do it.

My situation -

i have a form which i can email, that part is not too hard. i asked if i could email the form as a whole but have been told that is not possible due to different interface issues.

what i would like is for when someone clicks the "email" button, for it to also send a copy of the form to a folder on the system.

can i email it and post it have it sent to a folder at the same time with one button?

is it even possible to click a button to post the form in a folder?

thank you in advance

You will need to submit the form to a CGI program, the language of choice is up to you (ColdFusion, ASP, PERL, PHP) etc.. then process the form, saving what you need to the server and also sending the required email.

It cannot be done without some type of server side processing AFAIK.

As 1DMF pointed out you'll need some kind of server-language, to save the form, and then email it.

It is not to difficult to do, but it is out of te realm of possibilities of plain HTML.

If you decide you want to go ahead with it, you should post in the language forum of your choice:

The Cold Fusion Forum here: forum232
The ASP forum here: forum333

for specific answers.
