Submit form to email.

I am brand new to dreamweaver and am looking for a little help from the experts. For the time being I would just like to be able to use the submit button to put information in a form that I can use. I have searched for a while and read alot of information but I am not getting anywhere. I dont know if I have to use cgi. javascript etc. The guy before me used frontpage to do this but I am looking to try to learn with dreamweaver. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated , I think once I see how to do this I will be okay.
