Howdy!

Running SCO 5.0.6a and a Windows based website running ColdFusion I need to do following

From my custom application, I need to send website a form emulating the website itself. Action page should receive and process (not a problem if I can send it).

My real problem is how do I send (post) a form to a HTML action page on my website.

If I understand correctly, you want to run some sort of batch process on the Unix to interact with an existing
Look at wget and the Curl libraries which will probably have to be downloaded and compiled. I do not think they will be in the skunkware suite.
 
might be able to use lynx which does come with the SCO distribution.

wget, for what I understand does not have "post" capabilities. I heard of curl but do not know much about it, will look into it - I cannot compile as I do not have means of compiling (no development tools).

For many document processing jobs, we use a product called "UnForm" from Synergetic-Data (no, I'm not a rep, nor profit by mentioning them). One of the options is to output to HTML. We use most of the other output options (FAX, E-mail, PDF, PCL), but I know HTML is available. I don't know if that will apply to your needs, but you can download an eval copy from their website and read the docs.
