Submit button wont stop 1

This is probably a redundant question for most of you - I've always done a work around - but want to find the answer not a bandaid.

When I submit a form, that then calls a new page - if the new page also has a form with a submit button on it, it will try to submit the page by itself.

Anyway to stop the submit action once the new page is called?

um, I am not getting this, your borwser submits forms for you? Could you show some code, i am a little confused here. you are saying that when the submit button on page 1 is pushed, the form submits to page2. When page2 comes up it automatically submits itself for you?
I couldn't tell you whats wrong off the top of my head, though I might be able to give you some band-aids. Show us a little code from the first page and second, maybe it will become clearer.

ahhh heck, I think I found it. But I probably would not have found it had you not prompted me to post code.

As I was going through picking out code that would submit - I came across two identical pieces
