Hello,

1. Can I add an unbound text field to a bound subform?
If I can, I would like to populate the unbound text field of the subform with a value that is dependent upon a value contained in a bound field on the same subform.

2. I would also like to dynamically populate the subform based on a users selection.

Is this possible?

Thank you for your help!

Why don't you just be a little more specific about what you want to display?

A subform can have unbound text boxes. These might display the same value unless the Control Source is an expression that relies on a value derived from the Record Source.

You can apply filters to the subform or change the Record Source based on user selections.

Hi Duane,

Thank you for your help. I am somewhat new to access

The subform currently displays the table in the datasheet format, which is cool. But there are three columns on the subform that have to display it's textual values for user purposes.

1. clientid is stored in the database numerically, instead of displaying the client id number,I want to display its textual value (i.e. clientid stored as 2312, is actually "New York Times")

2. mail_days stored in the database numerically, I want to display the textual value (i.e. mail_days stored as 12, its textual value is "Sunday", "Monday")

3. download_days same as mail_days

And I do not know how to do this in a subform.
